When to call us

Growth and change are excellent problems to have. They are where mission, opportunity, and possibility converge.

A recurring problem needs a deeper examination.
Delays, inconsistent service, unexpected costs, or repeated workarounds keep returning. Lasting improvement requires addressing the root cause. You need to understand whether it lies in the process, technology, training, ownership, or the way those elements interact—so you can resolve what is driving the problem, not just the symptom.

Too much depends on a few key people—including you.
Decisions keep returning to the same desks. Critical knowledge and relationships sit with a handful of people. Individual heroics keep things moving, but the dependence remains—even after delegation. The organization needs clearer authority, stronger systems, and people prepared to take ownership—so it can operate confidently without requiring your involvement in every decision.

We work collaboratively. You don’t need to have every answer.

We begin with questions and a conversation. Together, we clarify the situation, identify what needs closer examination, and establish priorities, responsibilities, and next steps.

Our work aligns people, strengthens systems, develops future leaders, resolves the issues affecting clients and customers, and creates a roadmap for action—building the capacity and resilience your organization needs to fulfill its mission.

Our involvement is shaped around what your organization needs.

That may mean examining a specific challenge, providing ongoing advisory support, or taking a hands-on role in leading a project. When the work calls for implementation, we can help coordinate the people, decisions, and next steps needed to put the plan into action and remain involved until the agreed-upon work is complete.

The organization needs a different way to operate for its next stage.
Growth, expansion, or a change in direction is placing new demands on systems, people, and ways of working. What brought the organization this far may need to evolve. You need to understand what must be kept, what must evolve—and what should be protected—so growth strengthens the organization’s ability to deliver on its promises.

The dashboard says “green,” but something doesn’t add up.
Reports show targets being met, yet margins are tightening, teams are stretched, or customers are telling a different story. You need a clearer understanding of what the numbers reveal, what they miss, and whether the measures reflect the outcomes that matter.

You have the expertise. You need someone to bring it together.
Internal leaders, specialists, consultants, and vendors each understand an important part of the work. You need a partner who can ask informed questions, surface dependencies, build shared understanding, and coordinate their contributions into an executable plan.

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution.

Complexity, unmanaged, produces chaos.
Managed creatively, it produces clarity.

Organizations rarely arrive at an inflection point because they lack expertise. Growth, change, and complexity can outpace the systems, processes, communication, and leadership structures that allow that expertise to work together.

Arthierel Group enters at those points.

We work with your people to understand what is happening, identify what is getting in the way, and strengthen the operating architecture needed for what comes next.

Overview

Experience in Action

The following examples reflect work led by our principal, Dan Freehling, in prior leadership roles. They show how curiosity, disciplined analysis, and thoughtful execution can turn complex challenges into practical action.

Guests experienced one Zoo. The teams serving them needed a shared view.

At the Philadelphia Zoo, Dan led 86 team members across Admissions, Membership Sales, Parking, and the Call Center. Each department managed part of a visit that guests experienced as one journey.

Using Six Sigma, Dan identified service breakdowns and built real-time communication across teams. Parking alerted Admissions to arriving crowds. Membership shared prospective-member insights. The Call Center relayed guest feedback for timely action.

He also developed an approach for brief, spontaneous guest interactions with zookeepers and trainers, working with leadership and the union to make them possible.

Together, the guest-relations and animal-care initiatives contributed to a 300% improvement in Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Best-in-Class recognition. Membership sales increased 15% year over year that summer.

The dashboard was green. The business was telling a different story.

At Sahara Sam’s, annual revenue exceeded the owner’s budget by approximately $2.8 million. Yet revenue was roughly 8% below the prior year, and profitability had declined.

Dan examined performance across the business. Record membership retention masked flat membership sales. Group sales had fallen, reducing spending throughout the park, while birthday-party sales and upgraded packages were growing.

The owners proposed an additional $9,000 in marketing to increase group and membership sales. Dan questioned whether that approach would deliver the intended results and recommended a targeted campaign capped at $3,500, focused on select New York City markets and northern New Jersey.

The campaign generated $65,000 in additional sales from two buyouts.

Growth requires people prepared to lead.

At Wawa, expansion created a continuing need for managers ready to take responsibility. As a Training General Manager, Dan developed talent from the frontline through successive leadership roles, preparing people to lead teams and operations of their own.

His approach combined coaching with accountability: understanding where someone needed support, setting clear expectations, and helping them develop the judgment to act independently.

Dan personally trained and developed 10 General Managers and led the company in frontline promotions through the Shift Leader, Deli Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager progression.

The work built a leadership pipeline to support expansion—and gave people a path to grow with the organization.

Your Experts.

Working Together.

The expertise is already in the room.

The people closest to your organization often understand better than any outside consultant what works, what doesn't, and why.

We don't enter an organization to replace that expertise. We make it stronger through collaboration.

We connect people, functions, and disciplines; uncover what your team already knows; and identify the systems, processes, and handoffs getting in their way.

The result is not our solution imposed on your organization. It is a stronger solution built with the people who have to make it work.

How we work

We understand before we align. We align before we keep, evolve, or build.

Understand. We learn your organization, your team, your culture, and your root outcome.

Align. We agree with your leadership on what the work must achieve before any of it begins.

Keep, evolve, or build. We keep what works, evolve what can be improved, and build only what is missing.

We intend to leave.

Stewardship governs how we work.

Our responsibility is to leave your organization with greater capacity and resilience than when we found it.

That means strengthening systems, developing people, transferring knowledge, improving organizational capacity, and preparing your team to carry the work forward without us.

Success isn't measured by how long you need Arthierel.

It's measured by how much stronger you are when you don't.

Let's begin with questions.

You don't need to have the solution. You don't even need to have the problem completely defined.

Tell us what's changing, where you're feeling friction, or what you're trying to accomplish.
